Design and deploy strategy concerning automation and machinery control. Lead productivity improvement projects through automation optimization. Conduct and evaluate studies concerning control systems and standardization. Develop, program, and implement Level 1 and Level 2 automation/data collection. Develop engineering technical specifications as required by projects. Work with operations to achieve improvements in the process. Understand and implement project network layouts/ cabinets/ operation station/ instrumentation and sensors layouts.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, a related field or foreign equivalent, plus two (2) years of post-baccalaureate experience as an automation analyst. Experience must include the conceptual design of the software to be used in control and information systems and establishing standards, templates, and guidelines as applied to the automation. Experience must also include programming languages including Instruction List, Ladder Diagram, Function Block, Structured Text, and Sequential Function Charts. Experience must also include developing programming standards and designing low-voltage electrical systems; and Industrial Digital Field Protocols including DeviceNet, Foundation Fieldbus, HART, INTERBUS, and Modbus.
